Mt. St. Helens

Taken in 1995 in SW Washington, 15 years after Mt. St. Helens erupted, this scene is mute testimony to the scale of the damage wrought. We are looking almost due south from the Visitor's Center to the breach in the crater from which issued the steam and ash cloud that defiled the mountain.
