Children of America

I guess this image can pass for a 4th of July celebration. One late afternoon about 10 years ago, I photographed some kids in silhouette playing around the flags which circle the Washington Monument. Much later, I was able to use the computer to enhance the image. I flipped it horizontally and cropped from the left. Though the "star" sections of the flags were irretrievably blacked out in the original image, I was able to use the dodge tool to selectively lighten the "stripes" on each flag.
