Interstellar FireworksIn 1986, New York City celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, and after battling daytime crowds, I shot an evening scene of fireworks exploding over the lighted mast of a tall ship. Some 12 years later, I added the bumpy foreground spheres, then vortex filtered the entire image to impart an otherworldly feel to the scene.
